Ask if you can use a retainer instead.
It depends on how long you’ve had it. If it’s just been a few months or so, I’d just use a retainer and not even ask your boss. If you’ve had it for over a year or so, I’d say you’re probably fine taking it out right before your shift and putting it back in when you leave work. I did that when I had my tongue ring and never had any problems.
I had the same issue… no it will not close that quickly… just make sure you put it back in after work…. If you have just recently gotten it pierced and it has not healed completely then ask your boss if you can get the blackout tongue ring…. These are clear tongue rings for situation just like this. Can hardly see them, and you can buy them at any piercing place….though they may be called a different name there, they will know what you are wanting.
Always make sure your tongue ring is in at night as this is the time of day your body rejuvenates and heals it’s self, so it can close slightly over night.
what do you need a stupid tongue ring for. Yo have a job, grow up already
It depends on how long you’ve had it.
If you’ve had it for years then it shouldn’t be a problem.
But if not then it will close up and even if you keep shoving it through, there’s will be a lot of irritation and soreness.
