Is it suppose 2 hurt when you change your tongue ring?

Everytime i change my tongue ring, it hurts. Its not infected. Ive had my tongue ring for about 3 months. And if i put another one in besides the original one, after i change it back, it hurts. Is that normal? When can i change my tongue ring with out it hurting? Tags: tongue ring
