Nose ring

Nose ring, is it already part in beautifying? Well, I have wheard that lots of man and women now are using nose ring. They said its unique for their body. It beautify their self. Hmmm, do you know that nose rings are very common in India, they actually originated in the Middle East. It was only during the 16th century that the practice of piercing the nose filtered into India, for ancient Indian civilization has not recorded any evidence of its existence either in the sculptures at Ajanta and Ellora, the excavations of Harappa and Mohenjadaro or during the reign of the Kushan and Gupta dynasties. Nose rings seem to be associated with the Hindu religion itself. However, the fact that Muslim ladies and children also wear nathunis (nose rings) belies the fact at least to a certain extent. It was first made their appearance when the mughals ruled India. These nose rings were not rings in the real sense of the word. They were minute ornamental patterns depicting a tiny flower with a thin stem, which entered the left nostril, and was held in place by a screw on the inside. These were sometimes decorated with delicate chains or fragile pendants. The nose rings were made either of gold or diamond and were in the form of a small ball or a small flat disc. The type of nose ring is determined by the area to be adorned.

Nose piercing is other called of nose ring. Nose piercing is the piercing of the skin or cartilage which forms any part of the nose, normally for the purpose of wearing jewelry; among the different varieties of nose piercing, the nostril piercing is the most common. Nose piercing is one of the most common varieties of piercing after earlobe piercing. In India piercing were regarded as a mark of beauty and social standing as well as a Hindu’s honor to Parvathi the goddess of marriage in the 16th century. Nose piercing is still popular in Pakistan, India and Bangladesh. It also remains popular in Middle Eastern and Arab countries.

Nose ring or nose piercing is really painful, but other said it is not. Some said its part of fashion and beautifying body. Do people really have to piers their nose? Coz that’s really hurt. But anyway, people have different likes. If they like it they can go with it.
