If you waited until it healed, yeah.. it is really easy – just slips right out. If you are worried, you can “follow” it through by putting the new one on top as you slide the old one out, keeping the ends touching while pulling the new one in.. if that makes sense. The hole is very obvious and you can feel where it needs to go.. so go for it no worries!
It just slips through. It’s not that hard. But when I first did it, I dropped the ball and couldn’t find it for a while. So, just be careful while screwing it on.
