As if we were not convinced enough of her lack of talent and general suck-assery after the SNL debacle, she decides to perform at the Orange Bowl halftime show. And we are now left to decide whether she blows more singing or lipsyncing. It’s like trying to decide which hurts more; a kick to the balls, or a hot poker to the eye. Maybe she’ll blame it on acid reflux. I know I always do.

That pretty much seems to be the consensus from everyone I’ve talked to. I don’t know a single person that had a good year. Over 140,000 dead in Asia. We lost a cousin on my wife’s side in Iraq. Nearly lost my father to emphysema. My sister in and out of prison and unable to try to change her life for the sake of her son. We’ll be adopting him this year. A bright spot amongst all the grey, but they just seemed too few and far between.

Oh well. Fuck 2004. Here’s hoping 2005 will be everything the past year was not. One of my best friends and the godfather to my niece wil be deploying to Iraq this coming February. I am by no means religous. Far from it. But I have faith that he’ll be coming home safe in a years time. Watch your ass Kevin. And 2005, take care of him, or we’re gonna have some words.
